American Consul General, Yuriy Fedkiw met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here today. Matters of mutual interest, promotion of Pak-American relations and enhancing cooperation in different sectors were discussed during the meeting. Talking to American Consul General, the Chief Minister said that there are good friendly relations between Pakistan and America. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League-N government has achieved prominent successes in various sectors during the last three and a half years. Shehbaz Sharif said that due to economic policies, Pakistan is being included in emerging economies of the world and foreign exchange reserves have reached at a record level. He said that speedy work is being carried out on different projects including energy projects and fruits of their completion will soon reach the people. He said that Pakistan of today is safer, peaceful, prosperous and developed as compared to 2013. He said that the whole nation is united for eliminating terrorism and Pak Army, people and other law enforcement agencies have rendered unprecedented sacrifices in the war against terrorism. The Chief Minister expressed the hope that Pak-America relations will further strengthen in the coming days. American Consul General, Yuriy Fedkiw appreciated speedy completion of development projects in different sectors. He lauded the measures taken for elimination of child labour and protection of rights of brick-kiln labourers.
