Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that his country is determined to oust Syrian Kurdish forces from the town of Manbij in northern Syria soon.

In a speech delivered to a group of village and district administrators on Wednesday, he said Turkey is also mulling to clear a Kurdish-held border area in northern Syria.

Meanwhile Turkey’s state-run news agency reported that a Syrian helicopter has dropped barrel bombs on Turkey-backed opposition forces in the border area.
