The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is spending two billion rupees on improvement of irrigating system in southern districts of the province.

Official sources told Radio Pakistan Peshawar Correspondent that efforts will be made to launch work on Chashma Lift Irrigation Scheme in Dera Ismail Khan and develop canal system in Tank.

With the completion of these schemes, more than fifty thousand acres of barren land will be brought under cultivation.
