Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has banned airing of Indian content in Pakistan from Friday.

The decision was taken in PEMRA’s meeting headed by Absar Alam in Islamabad on Wednesday.

PEMRA has directed all Satellite Television channels and Radio to follow the code of conduct.

It said that license of the violators would be cancelled without intimating show-cause notice.

PEMRA has also cancelled the concession given to India in 2006. The meeting also discussed campaign against illegal Direct-To-Home system.by
