ATTOCK: A large number of college students took out a protest rally against Rawalpindi board for spoiling their future by carrying out incorrect marking. They shouted slogans and even tried to create law and order situation in Attock City, however police cob-trolled the protesting students by arresting two student leaders.
As per details students of and compelled the students of Govt Pilot School(adjacent to college) to join their rally. The students also tried to shut down the markets but could not succeed as the police baton charged them. The protesting students entered an Govt Education Office and broke window pans .Police arrested two student leaders Ismail and Naqeebullah.The students were of the opinion that Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi was not deputing expert teachers for marking of papers thus putting their future at stake .
Vice Principal Khalid Siddiqui when contacted termed the students protest unjust and told journalists that BISE Rawalpindi has issued a notification for rechecking of papers free of cost and has asked students to submit their applications for rechecking and so for ten students have submitted their applications. Assistant Commissioner Fatima Bashir who tried to calm down students said that the arrested students will be released and no case will be registered against them . SHO City police station also assured the students that their leaders will be released. SHO City police station when contacted confined the release of the arrested students. A lecturer of the college who wished not to be named said that students are getting undue advantage and want to blackmail the authorities,
