In Syria, six civilians were killed in a US-led coalition airstrike on a village in Aleppo on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Russian officials said the “humanitarian pause” should allow civilians and militants safe passage out of the city.

The Russian offer comes after a proposal by the UN Syria envoy, Staffan de Mistura, to allow Al-Qaeda-linked militants to leave Aleppo in exchange for a truce.

Meanwhile, Senior US and Russian officials held talks aimed at agreeing on how to separate al Qaeda-linked militants from rebel fighters in the besieged city of Aleppo so as to pave the way for a ceasefire.
