Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, Friday assured the National Assembly that load shedding issue in Malakand Division will be resolved with the completion of Chakdara Grid Station.
Replying to a Calling Attention Notice, the minister said the installation of polls have already been started and hoped that the project would be completed before the scheduled time.
The minister said a contract for the Chakdara Grid Station has also been awarded while the federal government had given Rs 540 million to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for land acquisition.
Abid Sher Ali invited Members of National Assembly after Muharram for the alternative proposals till the completion of Chakdara Grid Station.
The minister said that first time in the history, the federal government will pay Rs 70 billion royalty of electricity to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. (App)
